Who We Are

Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 2004 as the tri-state resource for Sharing The Love of Therapy Animals. We’re proud to be a Community Partner of Pet Partners, a national AAA/AAT organization, with nearly 200 volunteer therapy teams providing Animal-Assisted Activities (AAA) and Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) throughout the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky metro area.

Our Mission

Through our trained therapy animal teams, the members of Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati are able to provide unconditional love, emotional support, comfort, joy, and a pleasant distraction from the everyday stresses in life by allowing our pets to interact and bond with the people they meet. We strive to make a positive difference in the lives we touch in all the facilities we visit, including health care facilities, retirement communities, schools, and businesses, while we educate the community about the significant value of the human-animal bond.

What We Do

Our group actively promotes the benefits of the human-animal connection through:
  • Community involvement
  • Close cooperation with the facilities we visit
  • Ongoing training, evaluation, and mentorship opportunities for our members
  • The Pages ‘N Paws reading program at local schools, libraries, and bookstores
  • Public and private speaking engagements
  • Assistance to facilities establishing pet therapy programs and staff training

We maintain strict guidelines for evaluating volunteer therapy animal teams and providing AAA/AAT services. Our teams visit acute, rehabilitation, and palliative healthcare facilities, group homes, and schools throughout the region. Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati values our animals’ safety and welfare as our highest priority while helping our pets share their unconditional love with others.
